Psychotherapy & Counselling (Interprovincial Clients Outside Alberta)

Our individual sessions run for 50 minutes.

Our sessions, including the initial intake and ongoing therapy sessions, are conducted virtually. A gentle reminder—please set aside a private space where you feel safe and comfortable. Creating this environment can support us in exploring your challenges together and tapping into your inner strength for growth and healing.

Hello! My name is Yuhao, and I go by Hao (pronounced exactly like “HOW”). I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist (CAP), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am also registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). My multiple certifications allow me to work with clients from AB, BC, MB, ON, SK, and QC.

Whether you’re facing stagnation, battling self-sabotage, confronting stigma and discrimination, healing past wounds, managing relational challenges, or looking for solutions, you don’t have to handle it alone. In our session, you’ll find a safe space to decode your struggles by unpacking your emotions, delving into your feelings, reflecting on your thoughts and experiences, and identifying your unmet needs as you navigate life and explore your inner world.

I offer an integrated therapy approach to guide positive change and healing, ensure you feel heard and validated, and support your path forward. My therapeutic approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). We’ll gently revisit your challenging experiences at your pace and work to build resilience from them. We’ll safely challenge and co-explore solutions to address those unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.

Last but not least, my immigration experience allows me to embrace both Eastern and Western cultures, which also equips me with a nuanced understanding of POC clients and those with multicultural identities. Through my personal experiences and critical observations, I have cultivated a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQIA2S+ community, allowing me to provide empathetic, tailored, and effective support.
